Rumors proved true Thursday when Fox Television Stations CEO Jack Abernethy announced that Dennis Swanson, Viacom Stations Group executive VP and chief operating officer since August 2002, would become president of station operations of the 35-station Fox group effective today.
Mr. Swanson's move adds another layer to his reputation as a man who, at an age when most people are contemplating retirement, still works ferociously, like the former Marine he is.
