KATMANDU, OCT 16 (AP/UNB) - At least four communist rebels were reported killed in clashes with government troops over the weekend
despite a unilateral cease-fire announced by the guerrillas, an
official said Sunday.The army official said soldiers patrolling near Belbari, avillage about 500 kilometers (310 miles) east of Katmandu, cameunder attack on Saturday.The rebels opened fire and tossed grenades, said the official,who insisted on anonymity because of army policy.Last month, the rebels - hoping to revive the peace process -announced a three-month cease-fire, but said they would continue todefend their positions....
