To most children, allowance and birthday money is intended to buy things like toys and video games.
But the three Brashears brothers aren't like most.
They cracked open their piggy banks on Sunday to donate a combined $118 to a Belleview Elementary School fundraiser that will help 67 children who were displaced by Hurricane Katrina and are now enrolled throughout the Cherry Creek School District.
"I wouldn't want to be in their situation," said Alex, 9, who got the idea to donate the money with his brothers, Nicky, 7, and Victor, 11, after watching images of the hurricane's destruction on the news.
