eOn Communications announces Millennium System Release 3.11 with new VoIP networking and a new IP phone that let remote workers and branch offices access the Millennium features over an IP network. Millennium IPConnect is a new Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) station card that adds a TCP/IP interface for up to 32 "IP 500" phones or third-party SIP-compatible devices with 100% non- blocking communication. Notable features include Automatic Codec Negotiation, Voice Activity Detection, Silence Suppression, remote software upgrades via FTP and more. Up to 31 IP Connect Station Cards are allowed per system for a total of nearly 1,000 IP Phones.
