TUBE bombing victim Martine Wright has condemned the Government's compensation scheme for offering her only [pounds sterling]55,000 for each of her two lost legs.

She said she feared for her future, with her [pounds sterling]42,000a-year salary gone and huge bills looming for a house specially adapted for her needs.

"How do they work out these figures?" she asked. "Does someone sit in an office and fill in a box saying how much people's limbs are worth?" The Evening Standard reported last month that Ms Wright, 32, was in line for a [pounds sterling]110,000 interim payout from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA).
