The Virginia Christmas Tree Growers Association (VCTGA) has chosen a tree grown by Billy Cornette of the Reed Island Christmas Tree Farm in Carroll County as the Grand Champion.
This is the third win for Cornette. The first Championship came in 1998 with a Colorado blue Spruce. A Fraser fir was the winner in 2003 and the same variety took top honors again this year.
