19 OCTOBER 2005 HONIARA (Pacnews) - The Solomon Islands Minister for Health and Medical Services, Benjamin UNA has appeared in court over the alleged theft of money that was supposed to be granted to a development project in his constituency of West Kwara'ae.
Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corp News reports that Mr Una was arrested and taken to the Honiara Magistrates Court yesterday where he was charged with two counts of conversion.
The charges relate to an application made in May this year by a West Kwara'ae constituent to the Solomon Island
Government/Republic of China, Micro Projects Scheme, seeking a 40-thousand dollar grant for a cattle ...
