Miramar City commissioners delayed voting on a move to install seismographs in neighborhoods most affected by rock quarry blasting. Residents in western Miramar, whose homes are nearest three rock quarries in Miami-Dade County, have pushed for the devices for several months. They hope the seismographs can help determine the levels of the blasts, which they say are causing structural damage to their homes.
