Japan's Kyocera opens CZK 200 mln plant in North Bohemia
Prague. October 19 INTERFAX EUROPE - The Japanese solar panel producer Kyocera has launched operations in its new CZK 200 mln Kadan, North Bohemia plant where it expects to employ 300 people in three years' time, Czech Invest spokeswoman Jana Viskova told Interfax Wednesday.
"The new production plant in the Czech Republic should significantly contribute to the total production of solar panels," said Kyocera Corporation general director Isao Ike Yukawa. "We expect the firm's share of the European solar panel market will grow from 16 % to 21 % and of the world market from 11 % to 18 %."
