Richard Lindberg is a White Sox historian, a 52-year-old native of Norwood Park who became a White Sox fan at the age of 10.
In 1985, he was dubbed the team's official historian, but now serves only as an unofficial fact-finder and die-hard fan. His passion has led him to author four books on the White Sox, including "The White Sox Encyclopedia," printed by Temple University Press.
