CHICAGO _ This will be a World Series played within the confines, with pitchers who loom like Jonathan Swift giants, with managers scrambling as if the first run will be their last.
And if things get too quiet for the White Sox and Astros, maybe they can bring back Frank Thomas, Carlos Lee, Magglio Ordonez, Jeff Kent, Jeff Bagwell and Carlos Beltran between innings, for a quick home run derby.
Both these teams went on a wintertime diet and shed unsightly home runs and runs driven in. All the losses looked cataclysmic when listed on paper, where the game is never played.
