ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Progress Energy Florida is mobilizing line and tree crews to respond to possible power outages in the aftermath of Hurricane Wilma. The company especially urges its customers in south Central Florida to be ready for the storm's effects.
"We are preparing to dispatch line and tree crews so they can respond immediately if flooding or high winds disrupt service," said David McDonald, Progress Energy Florida's system storm coordinator. "While there is still some uncertainty about Wilma's path and its impact on our customers and facilities, we are ready for whatever comes our way."
