WAUNAKEE -- Whenever the Madison La Follette girls volleyball team fell behind Friday night, the Lancers' resolve picked them up.
"In volleyball, you just hit those ruts once in awhile," La Follette senior middle blocker Lauren Brown said. "You have to pull together as a team and I think we did that well."
After controlling most of the first game, the fifth-seeded Lancers rallied to claim Games 2 and 3 in a 25-21, 27-25, 25-20 victory over fourth-seeded Waunakee in a WIAA Division 1 regional semifinal. Most significant was La Follette's comeback from a 21-16 deficit in Game 2.
