Article: PayPal expanding at its La Vista site.

Oct. 21--When PayPal opened its new operations center in La Vista in April 2003, executives were quick to say that there was room for more than its 838 employees and that if the building filled up, there was ample land there to build another one.

Today, with 1,400 employees on the payroll, work has spilled into temporary space in Bellevue, and PayPal is getting ready to put up a second building and hire 600 more employees in the next year.

The new two-story structure will be 10,000 square feet bigger than the single-level, 115,000-square-foot PayPal building that sits alongside Interstate 80 at the 126th Street exit.
