DES MOINES, Iowa & MINNEAPOLIS -- Principal Real Estate Investors and U.S. Bank National Association announced today that they are joining forces to create Principal Commercial Funding II, a jointly-owned business that will compete in the commercial mortgage backed securities ("CMBS") market. Principal Real Estate Investors is the real estate investment arm of Principal Global Investors, a member of the Principal Financial Group (NYSE:PFG). U.S. Bank National Association is the principal banking subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp (NYSE:USB).
