Three noted research concerns, each in its own way, have recently stated what we have been preaching all along: Operations, and the supply chain in particular, employ technology to achieve business goals. The supply chain is not driven by any technology--RFID, wireless, sensors, etc. Technology "solutions" don't solve business problems. They need to be integrated to effect business process change, leading to business improvement.
