STAFF at a safari park are celebrating after the birth of a baby hippo - the third to be born at the centre in just five weeks.
The first baby, whose mum is Bar-Bel, arrived at West Midlands Safari Park, in Bewdley, on August 2, followed by baby number two on August 31, to mum Gertie.
The latest baby arrived on September 10, born to mum Friday.
This addition to the herd brings the total number of hippos at the park to 11thought to be the largest family group of hippos in the country.
Each baby weighed five stone (31.7kg) and will grow to three tons (3,048kg). They were all born underwater.
