INTRODUCTION
Thermoforming of cut sheets is extensively used in the industry for various commercial applications. In this process the sheet is heated to a softened state and subsequently deformed into a mold by an applied pressure, vacuum, a moving plug, or a combination of these. The thermoforming process market is expanding to more complex geometries and a larger list of potential materials. Material selection must be done early in the product development process based on cost, properties, and processibility.
