A Yonkers real estate investor-developer specializing in affordable housing and revitalization projects says its looking to redevelop an 18-acre site on the city's Hudson River waterfront where a long-vacant cable manufacturing plant now stands.
Homes for America's One Point Street Holdings L.L.C. has begun what it projects will be a two-year, $30 million environmental cleanup of the former BICC Cables Corp. property. Homes for America's One Point Street subsidiary over the summer completed its acquisition of the property from its previous owner, a joint venture of BICC, Miramax Films, actor Robert DeNiro and Tribeca, his film company.
