Jakarta, Oct 25 (ANTARA) - Japan has sent a team of experts and some medical equipment to Indonesia to help contain bird flu outbreaks.

"The team, consisting of three experts on laboratory diagnoses, is expected to arrive in Indonesia on Wednesday," Japan's vice ambassador to Indonesia, Masafumi Kuroki, told newsmen here on Tuesday.He said the team would start working and coordinate with the health ministry on Thursday."The team is the initial part of a Japanese aid package to improve Indonesia's laboratory capacity and facilities," he said adding that Japan would also send more experts to Indonesia for the same purpose.He said the second team would ...
