Automated packaging line is running combo pack at 80/min. Recording artists are said to be specifying the new structure for its environmental soundness.
A problem-solving package for compact discs is catching on. Electra Entertainment, part of Time Warner Co. in New York City, first used the combination paperboard/polystyrene structure for an album for the rock group Deee-Lite. It has since been adopted by another TW unit, Atlantic Recording, for a new release by INXS (pronounced "in-excess") reportedly at the request of the recording artists. The package is the Eco-Pak from TW's Ivy Hill Packaging.
