BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -- Community Health Systems, Inc. (NYSE:CYH) today announced financial and operating results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2005.
Net operating revenues for the third quarter ended September 30, 2005, totaled $929.3 million, a 14.5% increase compared with $811.8 million for the same period last year. Income from continuing operations increased 13.4% to $44.1 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, compared with $38.9 million for the same period last year.
