PASADENA, Calif. - Maybe this guy, this remarkable football player Maurice Drew, could have defeated Oregon State on his own.
Maybe. But he didn't. Didn't even have to.
The Bruins, unbeaten, ranked eighth by The Associated Press and No. 9 in the Bowl Championship Series standings, did an offensive number on Oregon State that mercifully stopped at 51-28.
Amid all the pregame flap over former UCLA quarterback Matt Moore, who left the Bruins after the 2003 season and transferred to Oregon State last winter, the other quarterback in the Saturday night mix at the Rose Bowl apparently was forgotten.
