Oct. 26--Tulsa World Publisher Robert E. Lorton III said Tuesday that his family and newspaper employees are devastated over the apparent actions of former carrier Paul Williford.
Williford, an independent contractor who served as a World newspaper carrier since November 2003, was charged Tuesday with assault on a Tulsa World subscriber.
In the continuing investigation, police have determined that Williford may have been involved in at least two deaths of newspaper subscribers on his routes.
