HOUSTON -- Texas is expected to become the first state to go on record as opposing President Clinton's beleaguered Btu tax proposal.
On Wednesday, the state Senate adopted a resolution denouncing the tax, and the measure was still pending before the House of Representatives at press time.
Texas Railroad Commissioner Barry A. Williamson said Wednesday that House members were expected to suspend the rules so they could vote on the resolution.
