A judge has refused to issue a temporary restraining order to prohibit the Indiana Department of Insurance from proceeding with the state's new Long Term Care Program. This allowed the program to take effect as scheduled April 1.
Golden Rules Ins. Co. sought the emergency relief to stop the implementation of the program until a hearing could be held to determine whether the program's regulations can require Life Based policies to include the inflation protection feature which is necessary in order for policies to be classified as |qualified' under the program.
