Puerto Rico is scheduled to inaugurate its new US$415 million Convention Center in November, reports Caribbean Business (Sept. 30, 2005). The new facility, in the Isla Grande sector of San Juan, will open with a capacity for 7,000 people and, with future expansions, will accommodate 12,000 delegates, said Manuel Sanchez Biscombe, executive director of the Convention Center District Authority (CCDA):
