As the candidates debated taxes, homelessness, affordable housing and government spending at a Hmong community meeting Thursday night, the latest poll showed challenger Chris Coleman with a 2-to-1 margin over Mayor Randy Kelly.
Said Coleman: "We're pretty optimistic."
Said Kelly: "Clearly I know that we have an uphill battle."
The two met at a candidate forum, sponsored by the political activist group Got Voice? Got Power! and held at the offices of the Lao Family Community of Minnesota. About 100 people attended.
