WHEN you think of taking a relaxing four-day winter break, heading off to the Arctic Circle may not seem the obvious choice, with its subzero temperatures, enough snow to bring Britain to its knees and minimal daylight.
But a few days in the wilds of the Arctic does have its attractions. There's something masochistically satisfying about visiting one of the coldest places on Earth and, on top of that, it's one of the few places where you can view the Northern Lights - or, to give this wonderful natural phenomenon its official title, the aurora borealis.
