During the 2005 Syracuse mayoral campaign, Syracuse 20/20 has offered the candidates the Brookings Institution's "competitive cities" agenda (outlined at right) as a framework for presenting the voters with a comprehensive plan for bringing about change to our community. We requested that each candidate review Toward a Competitive City Agenda, Mayoral Election 2005, and provide us with a written response to the recommendations offered by Syracuse 20/20 to address each of the essential elements.
