There might have been some underlying symbolic reason as to why Geneive Brown Metzger's father chose April 18, 1965, to leave his family in Jamaica and come to the United States to explore business opportunities.
Metzger doesn't know why "Daddy" chose that particular Sunday of all Sundays to say goodbye to his island nation.
