Tennis jewelry wardrobe malfunctions are a great tradition, launched of course by Chris Evert's legendary tennis bracelet: the failed clasp that launched a million bracelet sales.
At this year's U.S. Open, it was a pair of diamond chandelier earrings. Serena Williams interrupted her match with Yung-Jan Chan when her $40,000 Erica Courtney yellow and white diamond chandelier earrings fell to the ground. Serena went on to win the match.
