A NEW row over expenses erupted today amid claims that two Labour ministers exploited a loophole in Commons rules.
Barry Gardiner and Joan Ryan claimed two sets of housing expenses even though they both live within a few miles of Westminster.
An analysis by the Evening Standard shows that the ministers each received more than [pounds sterling]20,000 in additional cost allowances - designed to help MPs pay for a second home in London if they live outside the capital - as well as a [pounds sterling]1,618 supplement given to ministers to help with the cost of staying in the city.
