This year's 29th Montreal World Film Festival (MWFF) is out in full force, August 26-September 5, in an effort to prove that despite adversity, the show will go on. It has not been an easy couple of years for the Fest. Last year, just before the Fest opened, Telefilm Canada and Quebec funding agency SODEC publicly chastized MWFF for bad management, poor relations with the media and the industry, and low ticket sales.
