WILLED-BODY RULING -- A Los Angeles County court commissioner indicated Tuesday that UCLA can reopen its willed-body program, which was suspended last year after officials allegedly sold corpses donated for medical research.

Superior Court Commissioner Bruce Mitchell said he would lift a restraining order in the next couple of days that would allow the program to restart immediately.

However, it could be months before Mitchell gives final approval to an order requiring file program to institute new procedures and protocols in the next 18 months, attorneys said.
