South Korea's ESTsoft blocks Chinese gamers from playing online game "Cabal"
Shanghai. November 2. INTERFAX-CHINA - South Korean online game operator ESTsoft Corp. began blocking Mainland Chinese IP address on October 31 in an effort to stop Chinese gamers from participating in public testing for the "Cabal" online game in South Korea, the company said.
"It quite common for South Korean online game companies to ban Chinese gamers, because Chinese players have gained a reputation for developing cheat-software to buildup their characters and to find virtual items," said Ling Yu, PR Supervisor for Optisp, one of China's largest online game operators.
