Sohu to launch mobile game based on story from popular TV show "Jewel in the Palace"
Shanghai. November 3. INTERFAX-CHINA - Sohu signed an agreement with SOCO, a Shanghai-based wireless entertainment software firm, to launch a mobile phone game based on the story from the TV show "Jewel in the Palace" (Da Chang Jin), a South Korean drama that has become widely popular in China.
SOCO acquired the China distribution rights for the game from MDOCKS, a South Korean mobile game publishing company, and has in turn licensed the operation rights to Sohu, which will launch the game in December of this year via only China Mobile's network. The game is based on ...
