Article: Bangalore, Nov 3 (PTI) Getting into a major expansion mode, Taj Business Hotels plans to build new hotels in Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai and Gurgaon.

Taj would totally add 1,500 rooms in about three years covering four new hotels and those under "management contracts", Chief Operating Officer Taj Business Hotels, Jyoti Narang, told PTI.

She said excluding land cost, Rs 45 lakh to Rs 50 lakh would be spent per "key" (room).

The hotels in Bangalore, Mumbai and Chennai were expected to be ready in two years, while the one in Gurgaon would take three years, Narang said. Except in Gurgaon, the group had lands in three other cities. Construction on business segment hotel would begin soon in Bangalore.
