West Genesee Middle School took on the look of ancient Greece Oct. 21 during the annual Ancient Greek Olympic Day at the school.
The entire sixth grade participated in ancient activities and some dressed in ancient garb during the latter part of the day. The Greek Olympics is the culminating activity of an interdisciplinary unit on ancient Greece.
Pupils competed in several Olympic events, which was a unique opportunity for the entire sixth grade to come together for an educational experience and an opportunity to unite part of the school community.
