There's nothing wrong with appropriating a great idea.

In this case, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra has followed the lead of the Ravinia Festival in releasing early details of next season's artists and programs. Of course, much of this is subject to change and - because next season is more than 11 months away - incomplete.

The CSO has traditionally announced its season in mid- to late winter. But in light of those 400-some empty seats at 2,500-seat Orchestra Hall for a typical CSO subscription concert the past couple of years, management felt it wise to give the concertgoing public an early taste of what to expect in 2006-07. ...
