Mr. Kanichi Nishimoto, the founder of Noritsu and a pioneer in the photo industry, passed away on August 27, 2005. He was 90 years old. Mr. Tsutomu Satani, who has served as executive vice president and Co-CEO has been appointed to president and CEO. In 1951, Mr. Nishimoto founded Noritsu, the Japanese word meaning efficiency. Mr. Nishimoto's drive to develop state-of-the-art products led to the introduction of an automatic print washer to the commercial darkroom industry. This print washer is symbolized today in the Noritsu company logo. In 1976, Noritsu introduced a daylight photo system.
