Chinas' MCC to develop copper and cobalt deposit in Democratic Republic of Congo
Shanghai. November 9. INTERFAX-CHINA - The China Metallurgical Construction Group (MCC), the country's largest subcontractor for overseas construction projects, signed a framework agreement last week to develop a copper-cobalt deposit in Africa, according to a statement from MCC.
The MCC signed the framework with Gecamines Corp. (GEC), a leading mining company in the Democratic Republic of Congo, on November 3 to cooperate on developing one of GEC's Kov copper-cobalt mine, the MCC announced Monday.
The MCC did not disclose any more details about the deal.
