Graveside services for Mr. John Chester Van Camp Jr., 86, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Joliet. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee. Born Dec. 27, 1918, in Lafayette, Ind., to John Chester Sr. and Ruth Bernice (nee Gosma) Van Camp, he passed peacefully from this life Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005, in Zion, following a prolonged illness. Mr. Van Camp was a graduate of Purdue and Yale Universities. He was a well-known landscape architect in the Northern Illinois area and served as a city forester for several towns.
