Nov. 8--CLAREMONT -- Two days after he announced the New Hampshire National Guard Armory on Winter Street would be closed, Gov. John Lynch said questions regarding the decision-making process used by Adjutant General Kenneth Clark to close the facility are legitimate.
On Friday, Clark stood with the governor while Lynch made the announcement that three armories in the state would be closed. As the commander in chief of the state's military, Lynch made the formal announcement. However, Clark said Friday his office made all the decisions regarding which facilities to close. Woodsville and Peterborough are also closing.
