CHANGSHA, Nov 10 Asia Pulse - Geely Group in east China's Zhejiang Province, one of the country's key automakers, will invest 2 billion yuan (US$247.8 million) to build the Geely auto production base in Xiangtan City, central China's Hunan Province.

Located at the Jiuhua Auto Industrial Park in Xiangtan, the production base will have three auto production lines and produce two models of Geely cars. Work on construction of the base will start within the year. Upon completion at the beginning of 2007, the base will turn out 20,000 Geely sedans, and with the three production lines in full production, the base will boast an annual production of 100,000 units in 2010. ...
