At the core of Inigo Manglano-Ovalle's hybrid practice is an interest in the diversity and simultaneity of social experience, whether rooted in community, scientific and architectural systems or, more recently, the natural environment. In numerous works in a wide range of mediums, including photography, sculpture, video, installation, and collectively realized public projects, the artist addresses issues of migration--in particular the transcending of geographic and cultural borders.
