LIVERPOOL women have the lowest life expectancy in England, new figures reveal.
Life expectancy in the city is still one of the lowest in the country with alcohol shaving months off people's lives.
The average Liverpudlian will die at the age of 73 while people living in Kensington and Chelsea will live to the ripe old age of 80.
Liverpool's overall average life expectancy has increased, partly due to an improvement in heart disease, but a new deadly threat has surfaced.
Cirrhosis of the liver, commonly caused by alcoholism, has cut on average more than a month off Liverpudlians' lives.
