Question: What do you get when you combine hundreds of inches of lake effect snow and people who love to ski?
Answer: The Tug Hill Tourathon, a cross-country ski race that's lasted more than a quarter of a century and attracted thousands of skiers from around the world.
The 26th annual event, which features 25- and 50-kilometer races for all ages, is Feb. 4
Set in the 12,000-acre Winona State Forest, which straddles Jefferson and Oswego counties, the race is held in a place where 300 inches of snow is the norm each winter.
