At the United States Courts Library/Phoenix, we have developed an online catalog called USCCAT using INMAGIC. The library contains about 32,000 volumes and is a specialized collection serving mainly the local federal judges, their law clerks, and other court staff. Our bibliographic database currently contains over 2,500 records which have been downloaded from OCLC using dial access and processed with INMAGIC's MARC Adapter.
USCCAT was originally conceived in 1985. A Compaq Portable 286 was purchased for the project, along with INMACIC 7.0 and a test version of the MARC Adapter. Beginning in 1986, all new acquisitions were cataloged only in USCCAT. A split book ...
