Nov. 12--The creation of Comcast SportsNet West last year filled a void for fans of the Sacramento Kings, giving them a network that dedicated itself to the region's NBA franchise. But the biggest challenge was to give viewers additional programming on the 24-hour, seven-day-a-week channel.
One year later, Comcast SportsNet West still is working at competing with established networks ESPN and Fox Sports Net, and content is growing, according to general manager Larry Eldridge.
